This lovely B&B residence is located on one of the oldest streets in Chelsea, an historic section of London and still one the most popular and fashionable sections of town. Your hosts have lived here for many years and have a very good knowledge of the local history & personalities. They are also more than happy to help you select theatres & restaurants, arrange tickets for galleries etc.

This family home was built in the1960's, but in an older traditional English style with small front and rear gardens. This is a very safe and pretty residential area in an older section of town, just a stone’s throw from the river Thames. Your hostess, who is an artist, keeps a beautiful home and invites you to relax in the sitting room. A continental breakfast is served in the dining room. Guests are offered a beautiful double guest-room up one flight of stairs, this charming room has a queen size bed, There is a private bathroom in the adjacent room, with a wc, a tub and a shower in the tub. The bedroom is equipped with a flat screen television.

Located just 1½ miles southwest of Piccadilly, Chelsea has retained a "village-like" community atmosphere right in the heart of London. At the end of the street where the residence is situated, there is the 14th century Chelsea Old Church where Henry VIII was married (twice) and is also where St. Thomas More is buried in his family chapel, which he built in 1528. The glories of this church are in its Tudor monuments. Right outside the church is a charming small park, Roper's Garden.

Old Church Street has been home to many personalities, including the painter Augustus John, actor Noel Coward and rock stars Keith Richard and Simon Lebon. During your visit you may well see other locals with famous faces that you can’t quite put a name to.

The home is also just a few minutes walk from the fashionable King's Road. Here you will find many bistros, wine bars, restaurants, sidewalk cafes, pubs and hundreds of clothing boutiques, shoe stores and other specialty shops. There are eateries to fit all budgets and tastes within easy walking distance of the home. You are also close to the Chelsea Flower Showgrounds at the Royal Hospital where, if you are lucky, you may run into a Chelsea Pensioner (ask your hostess!) This area also offers easy access to the many museums, Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, Harrods department store, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben & The Houses of Parliament .
