Your host keeps a most attractive home which is traditionally decorated in an English manner. There are two guest rooms, a double with en suite shower-room and a single room with private adjacent bathroom. The guest rooms are very well appointed and light, bright and airy. They both have TVs for your comfort. There is a very pretty back garden where you are welcome to relax and a player piano which plays music rolls.

Located in the north of London the Highgate area is a very well established area having been settled back in the early Middle Ages. Now it has become a very fashionable neighborhood with an exclusive feel. The whole area is surrounded with large, expensive, historic houses throughout. This home is located on Thornbury Square just on the west side of Highgate Cemetery.
Highgate Cemetery is a wonderful example of Victorian art and architecture and offers many historic sights such as the tomb of Karl Marx and George Eliot. The tour is highly recommeded!
There are many restaurants and specialty shops in Highgate village which leads up to the fashionable and historic area of Hampstead where you will find two very historic pubs - The Spaniards Pub and Jack Straws Castle.

The nearest tube is Highgate which is a 5 minute walk from the home and runs on the Northern Line which goes direct to Leicester Square/West End in 15 minutes. This is a non-smoking home with no pets. Parking can be arranged by request. There is also a heated indoor pool in the community complex that you may use.
