and "en-suite" toilet with a private bath up a short flight of steps. The
room is stylishly decorated, furnished with antiques and built-in wardrobes
and has video and satellite t.v. The second bedroom is on the 3rd floor and
is also very large with queen-size antique brass bed, antiques and en-suite
bathroom. It is also very beautifully detailed. There are five more bedrooms
on the 4th and 5th floors, all doubles (queensize) or with 2 twins all have
full en-suite bathrooms, except one which has a w.c in an adjacent room.
The Marylebone location, which may be unknown to many
travelers, was one of the grandest neighborhoods of it’s day and as a result
is very conveniently located close to the heart of downtown. This Portland
Place residence is just a couple of minutes walk north of the Regent and
Oxford street shopping district which is home to hundreds of small shops,
world-class specialty stores such as Liberty and Hamley and enormous
departments stores like Selfridges. Bond Street is also just a few minutes
stroll away offering some of Europe’s classiest shoppping.
From this area it is also just another few minutes
fascinating walk and window shopping to Soho, the West End theater district
and Covent Garden with its wonderful covered markets and street
entertainment. Also just a few minutes walk to the north of this home are
the famous London Planetarium and Tussaud’s wax museum. Regents Park and its
